What the information is for
The guides explain how ducted heat pump systems work and what installing, converting, repairing and maintaining them involves in Sacramento-area homes and businesses. They are general information, not a load calculation, an inspection or advice about a particular property. Codes, permit rules, fees, utility rates and rebate programs change, so check current requirements with the building department for the address, your utility and each program before relying on them.
Price ranges and tools
The price ranges, the cost estimator and the assessment are budgeting and planning tools. They are not quotes, offers or a load calculation for any home, and a rebate shown in them is not a promise that a project will qualify. The price for a home comes after a first visit, in a written quote.
The work itself
Tule Sacramento Heat Pump offers and manages ducted heat pump installation, gas furnace conversion, replacement, repair and maintenance in Sacramento County, south Placer County, east Yolo County and El Dorado Hills. The HVAC work is performed by licensed and insured contractors holding the California C-20 license, with a C-10 electrical contractor for panel work.
SMUD rebates apply only to qualifying equipment installed by a participating contractor in the SMUD Contractor Network, under SMUD's program rules. The terms of any job are the ones in its written quote or contract, not these site terms.
Sending a request
Sending a form or calling does not create a contract. Please send accurate details and only for a property you own or are buying, selling or managing. Automated or abusive submissions are blocked.
Safety
Nothing on this site asks you to open an outdoor unit, an air handler, an electrical panel or disconnect, or a refrigerant connection. If a unit smells of burning, trips its breaker repeatedly, or leaks water toward a ceiling, light or outlet, switch the system off at the thermostat and the breaker and call for service. If you smell gas near a furnace, leave the building and call PG&E or 911 from outside. If you see smoke or flame, leave the building and call 911.
